Ranchi:\u00a0<\/span>A two-member delegation of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) will meet\u00a0RJD<\/a>\u2019s Tejashwi Yadav in Patna on Tuesday to discuss a possible seat-sharing alliance in the Bihar assembly election, which was announced on Monday.The JMM, which is leading the INDIA bloc govt in Jharkhand, is eyeing respectable number of seats from its ally, especially in the tribal dominated areas bordering the state, its leaders here said.The delegation will comprise Sudviya Kumar, the state education minister, and party general secretary Vinod Kumar Pandey. The buzz is that the JMM leadership is eyeing to contest in at least a dozen seats in the neighbouring state. Talking to\u00a0TOI<\/span>, Pandey said, \u201cTomorrow, we are meeting leaders in Bihar for seat sharing talks.\u00a0More than the number of seats, our focus is to fight unitedly so that India bloc wins the election.\u201dThe thumping victory in the 2024 assembly election has boosted the morale in JMM camp. \u201cJMM has emerged as a considerable force. In Bihar polls too, we are sure to do good in areas where we still have considerable base,\u201d he said.The party is mainly eyeing on seats falling on bordering areas. \u201cWe are stronger in many seats on bordering areas.<\/p>\n

JMM contested in four seats in the 2020 Bihar assembly election after it failed to strike a seat sharing deal with the RJD but failed to open its account. Even after the strained relationship with RJD during Bihar polls, JMM continued to retain RJD in the state cabinet here.JMM insiders hinted that the party is unwilling to contest solo in Bihar election, and its focus is on fighting in an alliance.
